Introduction

Hello! To kick start this off, here is an introduction of myself.

You may have already gathered from my website, I'm Ryan, a full-stack developer based in the United Kingdom. I've had an interest in development, technology and games since I was a child, building and publishing my first personal website back in 2003 (which I've still kept live to this day).

I studied Computer Science at university whilst working part-time at a web agency, and have continued working as a full-time developer where I've had the opportunity to work for a diverse mix of companies, ranging from large to small, across various industries. I mostly specialise in full-stack JavaScript, with Node, React, Next.js, TypeScript and GraphQL being a few of my favourites.

I'm always building or tinkering with something and currently have an interest in software/web development, home automation and self hosting, so this blog is really aimed at being a place for me to document and talk about the things that I'm currently exploring or have an interest in.

If you're interested to know what I'm currently up to, or the hardware and software I use, I have both a Now page and a Uses page which I intend to keep up-to-date.
